Loyalty that leaves with the person

May 2026 · B4 Labs

A points balance stuck at one till only helps when the guest comes back to the same door. We are working on a balance that can travel.

A typical loyalty program stores a number. The brand keeps it, the guest carries a card, and the two meet again when the guest returns to that door. That model fit a time when the relationship was the store. It fits poorly when a week runs through several independent venues that will never share a back office.

We treat loyalty as a sequence. The visit is verified. The review is allowed because the visit happened. The reward stays the same if the note is warm or blunt, because the useful part is the honest account of what occurred. After that, the balance has to be able to leave the counter. If the point expires at the till, it behaves like a one-time discount. If it can appear at the next venue, it starts to behave like a system.

Venues still need their own offers, levels, and voice. A cafe and an airline should keep separate campaigns. What they can share is proof that a person showed up, and a reward that person can carry. In our products, levels run from a first verified visit to the guest who keeps returning. Each venue chooses the perk. We decide how the visit is trusted.

Two limits sit on this work. Paying more for a five-star review teaches people to flatter the venue. Tracking location in the background teaches people to switch the permission off. The rule stays narrow. Confirm the visit, reward an honest note, and let the person take the result with them.
