Where web3 belongs in a visit

July 2026 · B4 Labs

We look at wallets and settlement when they let a visit and a reward move to the next stop. A chain has to remove a step the guest would otherwise repeat.

The questions we care about are practical. Can a receipt stand as proof a second venue will accept? Can a reward settle without another signup? Can the guest hold that proof without handing every cafe a copy of their identity? Those are consumer problems. A chain is useful when it takes one of those repeated steps away.

Wallets, settlement, and proof that can move between venues are the parts we are building. A token with no job in the visit, and a flow that asks someone to learn a new financial product before they can review a meal, sit outside that work. The guest should be able to ignore the chain entirely. We use the same bar we use for reading a receipt. It has to be fast enough to disappear at the table.

We call the outcome financial mobility. Cashback and shared rewards should move with the person after they leave the till where they paid. The quieter part of the research is the part that matters: who is allowed to say a visit happened, how long that takes, and what the guest can carry to the next place.

The writing stays tied to products. B4Eat is the first place this path is in market. Drinks, stays, and routes are where the same proof has to hold up for a different kind of visit. Web3 gets a place in that sequence when the handoff between places is cleaner.
